Someone once said that no one understands youth workers like other youth workers, which certainly has an element of truth about it! We provide a variety of opportunities for youth workers (paid and voluntary) to get together, both for training and more informally. We offer the chance for new volunteers to get together with others who are also new volunteers at a training event specifically aimed at them called ‘the Key’. We also offer all those who volunteer with young people in the diocese an annual training event, held each year at Christ's College, Guildford. This happens every autumn and will provide a chance for training, workshops, a café, and lunch together. More details here. To keep up to date, join our volunteers mailing list contact Elaine telling her your name and parish.
We offer the opportunity for employed workers to get together twice per tem; once at our termly training events, and once at our termly lunch for employed workers. We are also happy to come and visit you at the gatherings in your area. To keep informed about these events, the simplest way is to go onto our mailing list, and receive the monthly employed workers mailings. Again to be added to the mailing list, contact Elaine telling her your name and parish.
