Room Hire and Conference Facilities


There are two rooms available for hire at the Education Centre:

Conference Room:
This is the large ground-floor room which is air-conditioned and well-suited to meetings and conferences. Seating capacity is 50 maximum when set in theatre style. As Education Centre use takes priority, there is limited availability during term time.

Rates of Hire:
Diocesan: £10.00 per hour
Charities: £17.50 per hour
Other users: £25.00 per hour

Seminar Room:
This is the small first-floor meeting room for groups of 8-10 maximum. This room is air-conditioned.

Rates of Hire:
Diocesan: £7.50 per hour
Charities: £12.50 per hour
Other users: £15.00 per hour

A provisional booking may be made by telephone (01483 450423) or email. This will be held for 48 hours i.e. until receipt of a completed Booking Form. Booking Forms are available from the Centre Manager or can be downloaded.

No booking is confirmed until receipt of a completed Booking Form. No deposit is required but cancellation charges are made. The Diocesan Board of Education reserves the right not to accept a booking.

A data projector, flip chart, OHP and screen, TV and video are available for use in the Conference Room.

Teas and coffees can be served during the day by prior arrangement. A nominal charge is made for this.

Lunches can be booked at the Cathedral Refectory, which is next door. (Refectory Tel: 01483 560471)

Child Protection
If your group includes children you must comply with the Diocesan Child Protection Policy, a copy of which is available from the Education Centre. An additional Hire Agreement / Child Protection Form must be completed.
